Innovating Education

Innovating Veterinary Education

How we teach students is as important as what we teach them. New facilities will enable more effective approaches, foster a culture of discovery, and attract the best faculty, staff, students, and specialty trainees.

A Leading-Edge Complex for Future Generations

This building initiative comes as veterinary science reaches a crossroads. To remain a leader, CSU must move beyond auditorium-style teaching. It’s critical that we embrace best practices in health education like experiential learning strategies that leverage state-of-the-art laboratories, simulation skills labs, active learning classrooms, and earlier access to clinical experience through an expanded Primary Care Clinic. The new complex will enable integrated education, clinical practice, and applicable research; fueling what will be the world’s most progressive veterinary education.

Testimonials

Students, faculty, and clients are passionate about the work we do for companion animals, livestock, and wildlife.

“CSU is one of the pioneering leaders of innovation in veterinary medicine. Many of my professors are world-renowned and leaders in their field. When I toured CSU, I knew that I would be given all of the resources I needed to become an outstanding veterinarian.”

– Yoshua Goodman, DVM, Class of 2023

“As a veterinary student, I spend many hours sitting in class, taking notes on endless slide show presentations, and somehow Dr. Hendrickson makes all of that less important because what he is saying is interesting and realistic (in a way that) I can actually see myself being able to be a veterinarian myself one day.”

– CSU CVMBS Student
